Welcome to The Belly Rules II. We’re so glad you stopped by. Grab a beverage, kick your shoes off and take a look around.
We live in northeast Texas with our 2 kitties. We’ve been married for 14 1/2 years now. Marsha had 2 children who have given us 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with number 6 on the way. Both of us are retired and disabled so we’re at home most of the time. Marsha loves to cook and I love to eat whatever she has whipped up.
Marsha has amassed a ton of recipes. A lot of them are handwritten from her grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and mother. Some are dated back to the Civil War, through the Great Depression and the rationing during World War II. There’s lots of great ones there.
Back in the day, our ancestors had to be extremely frugal with their food money. A lot of things had to stretch. We’re’e hoping that we can help you all to stretch your food dollars by posting these recipes. They don’t have to be anything fancy. Just good down-home cooking. Just like you would get if Grandma or Mom were in the kitchen.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and we will be more than happy to help you out. Also, if you’re looking for a particular recipe, then please ask. We’re sure we have one somewhere.
All the best,
Michael & Marsha
